1. What is The Juke Joint?
The Juke Joint is a traveling immersive cultural experience that celebrates Black creativity, history, and community. Each edition transports guests into a specific era and city through live music, dance, fashion, art installations, culinary offerings, and interactive moments.
2. What should I wear?
Guests are encouraged to dress in era-inspired fashion that reflects the theme of the night. You are encouraged to think outside of the box! Research the era and come prepared to take pictures and enjoy the moment!
3. Will food and drinks be available?
Yes! Black-owned food and beverage vendors will be on-site with culinary offerings that honor Chicago’s cultural heritage. Specialty cocktails and beverages will also be available for purchase. No outside food or drinks are allowed.
4. Is this a 21+ event?
Yes, this experience is strictly 21 and over. Valid ID is required for entry.
5. Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferable. If you cannot attend, we encourage gifting or reselling your ticket to someone who can fully enjoy the experience.
6. Will there be live performances?
Absolutely. Expect live music, theatrical dance performances, fashion presentations, and immersive audience interactions throughout the night. Every performance is designed to make you feel like part of the story.
7. Can I take photos/videos?
Photography is encouraged at designated photo-activation spaces. Out of respect for performers, flash photography and filming during live performances may be limited. Official event photographers will also be capturing the night.
8. Where does The Juke Joint take place?
Each Juke Joint is hosted in a city with deep cultural roots, often in historic or architecturally significant venues. The location is always chosen to connect with the theme of the event. Venue details will be announced with each edition.
9. What time should I arrive?
VIP Experience: Includes early access, open bar, and hors d’oeuvres during the first hours.
General Admission: Doors open later in the evening, with the full immersive experience lasting into the night.
Exact times vary by city and will be noted on your ticket.
